Prime-Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov appeals businessman to stop paying out wages “in envelopes” (pay envelopes help them to avoid taxation).

“Everybody is aware that unofficial wage leads to cutback in disability pension and doom our citizens to get the small retirement benefit”, noted Yekhanurov.
According to him, “as a result of such policy pension fund, other insurance funds suffer losses and the local budgets are short of financing”.
In Yekhanurov’s opinion, “both the government and entrepreneurs should promote the high living standards for employees through official remuneration of labor”.
The prime-minister considers the wage must not be lower that the subsistence level for people capable to work (UAH 453).
“I appeal you to side this and observe the law, remunerating each employee’s job properly. You should bear responsibility before the Ukrainian people”.
“The only way for welfare of the state and each citizen is to pay taxes and official wage”, said Yekhanurov.
