President Viktor Yushchenko announces that the car, used by his son, is leased.
"He pays for the lease", answered Yushchenko at the press-conference on Monday, being asked about belonging of the BMW M-6 car, his son drives.
As known, before Yushchenko’s son told that the car belonged to his friend. According to Yushchenko, his son can afford to lease a car as well as a body-guard.
"My son has business, he works for a consulting firm and makes deals I once induced him to", said Yushchenko.
"It is not much money, but quite enough to pay for a car lease and a body-guard", the president added.
He assured that his son was actually declaring his personal income. "The working assets of my family account several million hryvnyas. My family can pay not only for my medical treatment, but for my children’s need as well", noted Yushchenko.
In relation to the telephone of VERTU trademark, Yushchenko said: "it was presented by a friend known to you, but I do not want to name him". Yushchenko confessed that he had urged his son "to throw this telephone away to the devil". "I know he will do this", added Yushchenko.
"Everybody who knows my son can confirm that he is a well-bred person with strict moral, spiritual wealth, deep belief in God", assured Yushchenko. The president called the author issued the accusatory article about his son in the Ukraynska Pravda edition "a killer who had never worked for the freedom of the press".
Yushchenko also noted that he had been warned of preparation for publication, compromising his son.
