The leader of BYuT Julia Tymoshenko announced that the coalition of democratic forces has been formed.
“I am greatly honored to announce the news awaited by the whole country. As of this moment, the coalition of BYuT, SPU, and “Our Ukraine” is formed,” announced Tymoshenko from the podium of Verhovna Rada.
“Everyone could see how difficult was the process of forming the coalition, and now, when all documents are transferred to the Secretariat of Verhovna Rada, I would like to avoid mentioning any difficulties,” she added.
“It is important to note that it is today when the coalition starts functioning according to the new amended Constitution,” noted Tymoshenko when speaking from the podium of Verhovna Rada.
“Today is the anniversary when the Ukrainian people started its struggle against the occupants 65 years ago. And today, we start a struggle to make our Ukraine a democratic state,” Tymoshenko noted.
During the time when Tymoshenko spoke, the deputies of the Party of Regions whistled in the hall.
“To make her [Ukraine] clean of all the stains of corruption, and to make us proud of our Ukraine… just as our forefathers, parents, and all people, who struggled for the Independence of Ukraine dreamed,” said Tymoshenko.
“Just as that five year struggle ended with the victory, so our struggle will end in a victory. I would like us to greet the people and the Parliament with this news” noted Tymoshenko during applauses of the deputies who are members of the coalition trinity.
Consequently, the acting speaker of VR, Communist Adam Martuniuk addressed the deputies who are in the Parliament for the first term: “I ask you to not get too agitated, so that you would not get disappointed over time.”
