Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych on Friday promised if he was Prime Minister, Ukraine would see no gas hike, Liga periodical reports.
Yanukovych remarked the gas issue challenged the government to regulate the supplier-and-user gas relations, including gas-volume pump.
According to him, as of today, Ukraine storages lacked 3 billion cubic meters.
Moreover, he was going to negotiate with Turkmenistan about 300 cubic meters supplied, in fact, under RosUkrEnergo conditions.
“We are surprised at why Ukraine doesn’t negotiate on a direct gas-supply,” he marked.
He promised to agree with Russia and Turkmenistan to prevent new gas leap.
“It is a threaten situation, but we have an experience and know how to cure the gas-problem,” stressed the leader of Party of Regions.
As known, on Friday the newly formed coalition nominated Victor Yanukovych for Prime Minister.
