The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) restricted the President’s power, referring to the regulations of the new redaction of the Constitution.
On Tuesday sitting three governmental committees chaired by Mykola Azarov forbade President Viktor Yushchenko to commission the government, Kommersant-Ukrayina periodical reports.
“We abolish the President’s right to commission the government, yet entitle him to suspend decisions through the court,” noted Deputy Minister of the CMU Olexandr Lavrynovych.

The CMU also decided to leave the main base of Land Forces Institute in Odessa without transporting it to Lvov, as the President proposed earlier.
