The Prosecutor General’s Office did not confirm information regarding the national deputies accused of Police Colonel Roman Yerokhin’s murder, Prosecutor General Olexandr Medvedko reported at the press-conference.

Five persons are arrested; Yerokhin’s case was investigated first by the Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv Obolon region, then by Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office and later moved to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

When asked whether MPs from Yuliya Tymoshenko Bloc and Party of Regions were involved in Yerokhin’s murder, as Sehodnya periodical wrote, Medvedko denied such information.

He said that mass-media spread idle rumors, as the criminal case papers did not contain information on MPs implication in the case. Yet the Prosecutor General does not exclude that operational search action may disclose more data.
