Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko promises not to put the blame for the failures of her government on the shoulders of her opponents.
She stated it during her TV address on Inter channel.
“Declining responsibility is not worthy of a statesman. It is in fact complaining about one’s own inability and lack of skills. We haven’t come to complain, we have come to raise the country, take up the responsibility and face the challenges. The current government must be responsible for the situation in the country,” said Mrs. Tymoshenko.
“The situation in the country currently is rather difficult. It was precisely defined by one of the new ministers after he became familiar with the situation. He said: ‘There is no Ministry of Transport and Communications in the country.’ All the other fields of state governance can be described in the same way,” noted Mrs. Tymoshenko.
“You feel it every day when facing uncontrolled price growth, explosions of gas systems and mines, lack of jobs, blatant corruption, small pensions and salaries and irresponsibility of the authorities,” said the Prime Minister.
“Yes, it is so. But don’t be afraid of it. Other countries introduced order in their common home several years after wars, revolutions, wide-scale earthquakes and destructive tsunamis. We are just as good and as clever and we’ll also introduce clear order after seventeen years of so-called ‘deep reforms’,” she assured.
