The majority of Russians can’t make up their mind whether they support President Yushchenko of MP of the Verkhovna Rada in current situation in Ukraine.

Researches of the Social Opinion Poll proved this as Interfax-Ukraine informed.

According to the public opinion polls nearly 60% of Russians don’t know what part of the Ukrainian crisis to support. At the same time 30% support MPs and only 5% support Yushchenko.

According to the Social Opinion Poll figures received as the result of a poll conducted in 100 settlements of 44 regions of Russia on April 7-8, only 29% of all respondents could evaluate the situation in Ukraine answering the question about reasons of the dismissal of the Verkhovna Rada.

Among them 5% said that such reason is fighting for the power in Ukraine. 3% of all respondents told correspondingly about the crisis of power, discords and disorders in the neighboring country. Also they mentioned about the discrepancies and the absence of the mutual understanding between the President and the Verkhovna Rada.

Nearly 30% of Russians tried to explain Yushchenko’s decision by expounding his motives or evaluating the situation the President got in.

Thus some respondents either said that Yushchenko has intentions of concentration of power, strengthening his positions or supposed that his positions were getting weaker and the dismissal of the Parliament is just the attempt to hold the slipping out power (3% each)

Others either described Yushchenko as a weak president who lost the control over the situation or just blamed the President saying “he himself doesn’t know what he is doing” (2% each).

Some of people either said that Yushchenko’s decision was initiated by the USA or attributed the key role in this situation to the leader of BYuT Yulia Tymoshenko (2% each).

Some also thought that Yushchenko was made do so or said that this crisis is related to the Ukrainian joining NATO.
