“Impertinently seeking personal benefit, Yanukovych’s government officials are eager to sell out all the state industry,” BYuT states in the message.
“After Luhanskteplovoz [the name of the plant] venture and the associated investigation instituted by the Prosecutor General’s Office they got down to Ukrtelecom. If this state telecommunication monopolist is privatized, vulnerable social groups (the handicapped, war veterans, pensioners) will be left ‘unplugged’,” the bloc stresses.
It is also said that the Cabinet and the friendly businessmen are lately trying to get hold of the most attractive economic entities.
It may be particularly proved by the latest Cabinet’s decision to allow one of the Ukrainian biggest energy companies Dniproenergo to emit additional shares, BYuT implies.
“As a result of it the state’s share will reduce to 50 per cent in difference to the present 76. In this case the company group controlled by the billionaire from the Party of Regions Rinat Akhmetov will, in fact, run the business of Dniproenergo,” BYuT is convinced.
The bloc supposes, the plan of ‘actual Dniproenergo usurpation’ stipulates a $200 million company debt cession and its exchange for 26 per cent of the additionally emitted shares.
According to BYuT’s information, a single buyer of the 26 per cent is to be Donetsk Fuel & Energy Company owned by Mr. Aknmetov.
“As a result of this venture, the state funds should lose about $500 million, apart from one of the largest energy companies in Ukraine,” the message states.
In connection with this, BYuT is calling for the President to ‘stop the criminals to cynically sell out strategic state entities’.
“We demand that the government officials be charged with their activity to endanger energy security of Ukraine,” BYuT emphasizes.
